EDITORIAL Iran, Israel and the United States Published: March 5, 2012 President Obama  and Prime Minister  Benjamin Netanyahu  of  Israel share responsibility for the strains in their relationship. But there should be no doubt about Mr. Obama’s commitment to Israel’s security. When he warns that an Israeli attack on  Iran  could backfire, and that “there is still a window” for diplomacy, he is speaking for American and Israeli interests. Iran’s nuclear appetites are undeniable, as is its malign intent toward Israel, toward America, toward its Arab neighbors and its own people. Israel’s threats of unilateral action have finally focused the world’s attention on the danger. Still, there must be no illusions about what it would take to seriously damage Iran’s nuclear complex, the high costs and the limited returns. 06/03/12 - 03:12 Más allá de las banderías políticas, los docentes nos hemos sentido menospreciados y muy dolidos ante las palabras de la señora Presidenta en su discurso en el Congreso. Es por eso que pido se sepa a través de estas líneas que además de bregar por un salario digno, la docencia es una profesión de la cual nacen el resto de las profesiones. Señora Presidenta: usted es una gobernante, yo soy una docente. Usted pasará a la historia, yo quedaré en la memoria de miles de niños. Usted hace escuelas, yo vivo la escuela. Usted decreta, yo enseño. Usted dirige la Justicia, yo la implemento en el aula. Usted, como otros gobernantes, pasará, yo como otros docentes quedaré.  Usted nos humilla, yo la respeto. Usted habla enojada, yo escucho. Usted nos quiere dividir ... yo enseño a multiplicar. Usted recibe abrazos comprometidos, yo recibo besos sinceros. Usted da subsidios, yo pago los impuestos.
